Trump Tower, NYC.  January 20th, 2017. Noon.

NPR streamed the inauguration late; The New York Times had already announced the completed oath before Trump even appeared on the steps of the Capitol.  And at Columbus Circle, a crowd of maybe 80 protesters dispersed by 11:50, leaving his behemoth to sit undisturbed on 8th Avenue while Trump told the world that the “American carnage stops right here and stops right now.”
