Frame 313.
Dealey Plaza. Dallas, TX, March 29, 2014.
The specificity here is bewildering, and becomes its own focal point. The spot where a bullet struck Kennedy in the head – with the sixth floor window of the book depository visible above the trees – can be pinpointed on the street only because it was captured on film. The X, inviting perspective, calls up an historical image, a Weegeean bluntness feeding an appetite for voyeurism.
